Single Moms Christmas Dinner Volunteer
This special event is hitting the road with our 9th Annual Single Moms Christmas Dinner at Home Edition! Not even a pandemic can stop the love, joy, hope, and encouragement from being showered upon the single mothers and children who register for this year's event, and we need YOU to help make it happen!
This year, instead of the moms coming to us, we're going to them! On December 12, a catered meal and gifts for the moms and their children will be delivered to their home, followed by a virtual program that same evening for them to enjoy online. Join your efforts with those of hundreds of other volunteers needed for this event and help honor the wonderful single mothers a part of our community.
To help make it happen, read more about the details below, and select a pick-up time from the list on the right to register as a driver or passenger.
It takes hundreds of volunteers to make this night possible, so THANK YOU for recognizing the value of this event and choosing to contribute! We appreciate you!
A minimum of two adults (18 years of age or older) are required per vehicle and EACH adult needs to register as a volunteer driver or passenger and complete the background check. The link to complete the background check is provided in the registration confirmation email. Specific details about where and when to meet and other important information will also be included in the confirmation email. Children are welcome and do not need to be registered.
Delivery teams will be given route information and items the evening of the event. While there is no guarantee to which locations you will be delivering, all items you deliver will be in close proximity to each other and no further than 30 minutes from downtown. We anticipate your total volunteer time to take about 90-minutes from pick-up to your last delivery.
Face masks are welcomed but not required. When making deliveries, an appropriate distance must be kept between you and the receiving families. Further safety measures will be provided to registered volunteers in the weeks preceding the event.
