As a member of the Children Support Team, you will be assisting leaders with children who could benefit from additional assistance OR who would be assigned to a specific room to help create space if they are overly stimulated or need further assistance. Your primary responsibilities will include keeping the environment safe and showing genuine care for the children in which you engage. Previous experience working with children who need special care is a plus.
We also ask that at the end of the night, the team members help break down the resources and supplies and organize them in a manner for the Tear-Down team to quickly load up the truck. Many hands make light work, so we don't anticipate this taking more than 15-30 minutes.
Each person in your household who would like to volunteer the night of the event (regardless of age) will need to complete the registration process. Any youth desiring to volunteer may do so in a Children's Room (5th grade and younger) or as part of the set up or tear down teams. Children who need care while parent(s) serve may be included with an adult registration.
Specific details about where and when to meet and other important information will be included in the confirmation email you will receive upon registering. With the exception of the set-up team, all serving areas require a background check be performed on all individuals 18 and older. The link to complete this will also be included in the confirmation email.
Dinner will be provided for all volunteers.
It takes nearly 400 volunteers to make this night possible, so THANK YOU for recognizing the value of this event and choosing to contribute! We appreciate you!
