Single Moms Group - Prairie Creek

This Single Moms Group meets Wednesday evenings at Prairie Creek Church (formerly Grimes United Methodist Church). The group meets on a weekly basis, August through April*, allowing single moms time to connect with others walking a similar journey and, together, seek what matters most. At each gathering, single moms can expect time to share, listen, laugh, and grow while participating in relevant studies in a healthy, encouraging environment.

Study: In addition to the connection time that happens, this group will be going through the study, Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster. Disciplines are central spiritual practices of the Christian faith and through these practices, we can find a path to a balanced spiritual life and spiritual growth. The author demonstrates how disciplines can become part of our daily lives and can help us shed superficial habits. Discover a richer spiritual life infused with joy, peace, and a deeper understanding of God. When these Disciplines are properly understood and applied, they can bring joy and balance to our lives as we draw nearer to God and one another.

Dinner is provided for moms and their children from 5:45-6:15PM with moms then meeting from 6:15-7:45PM.

Children and youth programming happens during the group meeting time through Prairie Creek Church. Children's programming is available for kids 5th grade and under. Junior and Senior High Youth Group is available for students 6th grade and up.
