Before we plunge any farther into 2020, we wanted to take a quick look back at 2019 and celebrate. Check out some of the highlights of 2019 by clicking on the picture below! 

Each year for the past five years, Single Parent Provision has invited this former single mother to come and speak at the Single Moms Christmas Dinner. Between other commitments and schedule conflicts, she was unable to make it...UNTIL THIS YEAR! 

We kept our "secret" for the months preceding the event so that everyone in attendance would be in for a special surprise when we announced that Brenda Warner, speaker, philanthropist, best-selling author, RN, Marine, metal artist, co-founder of 2 nonprofits, mother, and wife to Hall-of-Fame Quarterback Kurt Warner, would be our guest speaker for the 8th Annual Single Moms Christmas Dinner!

As Brenda shared the story of her single parent journey, with many of the struggles, joys, and lessons she experienced, the audience of 868 single mothers were carried along with her. There was laughter, a few tears, and many uplifted hearts that evening. 

Brenda, you were worth the wait! Thank you for being there and sharing your authentic journey and message. We are grateful FOR you and blessed BY you.

Our 4th Annual Family Gift Market will be held on Saturday December 21st at the Valley Community Center in West Des Moines! 

The Family Gift Market is a free event and unique opportunity for single parents and their children to shop for one another at Christmas! Our team of volunteers play the role of shopping assistant helping kiddos select, wrap, and label a gift for their registered parent, while parents shop in an adjacent room selecting a gift for each one of their children. Cookies, crafts, and cocoa are available for families to enjoy together when their shopping is done, and all leave with a wrapped gift for one another to be put under the tree for Christmas. With the Single Moms Christmas Dinner a little over a month away, there is a whirlwind of activity happening, as we prepare to welcome over 900 mothers and 1,300 children!

Our 8th Annual Single Moms Christmas Dinner will be held on December 14th at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Des Moines. 

Single mothers are invited to a special evening held in their honor. Programming and activities are provided for children ages 0-18. This year, we're preparing for 950 single moms and 1300 children!

Our Groups kickoff this fall! 

We can't say enough about the value of being connected in our Groups, but we will let those a part of them tell you instead:
